Tummease — Brand & Campaign Design
Creating a brand designed to stand out on the shelf
Tummease is an over-the-counter IBS relief product created to help people manage the symptoms of IBS.
I was brought in to develop the name and complete visual identity for the product, taking the brand from initial concept through to finished packaging and supporting marketing materials.
The challenge was to create a brand that felt approachable and reassuring within a sensitive healthcare category, while still having enough personality and visual impact to stand out in a competitive retail environment.
Building the Tummease identity
The branding was developed around creating a clear, recognisable identity that could work consistently across packaging, advertising and wider marketing communications.
Every element was designed with the customer in mind, balancing the need for a professional and trustworthy appearance with a more approachable visual style.
The result was a distinctive product identity designed to be immediately recognisable and easy to navigate at the point of purchase.
Taking the brand beyond the packaging
The project extended beyond the core branding and packaging, with a range of advertising and promotional materials developed alongside the marketing team.
These materials supported the brand's push into major retail environments, including listings with Superdrug, as well as wider consumer advertising campaigns.
The advertising appeared in publications including EasyJet and Flybe's in-flight magazines, giving the brand exposure to a broad national audience.
A three-month advertising campaign was also developed for washrooms across multiple shopping outlets throughout the UK, creating another opportunity to put the Tummease brand directly in front of its target audience.
The result
From the initial concept through to packaging and national advertising, the Tummease project demonstrates how a strong visual identity can provide the foundation for an entire brand campaign.
The finished identity gave Tummease a clear, distinctive and consistent presence across multiple customer touchpoints, helping the product move from a new concept towards a recognisable retail brand.
From product concept to point of purchase — creating a brand built to be noticed.
